Pre-School is off to a wonderful start! The children have separated from their parents so nicely and are beginning to learn the routine of the classroom and taking directions from someone other than a parent.
Before preschool many of the children have only known a family setting with one or no sibling, so they are accustomed to being the center of attention from family members. Attending preschool opens up a whole new world and many adjustments. We practice and encourage independence throughout our daily routine. Make time in your daily routine at home to allow your child the time they need to dress themselves, take care of toileting needs, put on their coat and shoes, complete a simple task, etc.
An independent child leads to a confident child.
